Hi Ken,

Loved what you shared. Looks like we travel the same road. My greatest speaking times are in the morning. Could not have described it any better; "It’s like a drink of fresh cool water on a hot summer day in georgia." Course we have our own hot days in Louisiana. (As you can guess.)

Go fishing my good friend.

Blessings,

Nothing like having the Lord speak to my heart early in the morning. It's like a drink of fresh cool water on a hot summer day in georgia. today I was thinking about how Peter found that money in the fish's mouth. I think Jesus must of been laughing when he told peter to go fishing for his tax money. Come to think of it. I think that's what I'll do to. Jesus seems to like fishermen, or fisherpersons.
                                                                    selah, Ken

> The delta blues and it’s contributions to music chronicle a movement of a people not unlike 20th century Isrealites. I can appreciate your love for the land and it’s culture, there is a wealth that often goes unappreciated. I too was touched by the peace your blog brought me, have a wonderful old-timey jammin’ session, share some of the recordings with us. Looking forward to a beautiful year full of the peace only the Lord can bring. <

Thanks Daniel,

I'll see about putting the CD where folk can have access to it. I'm excited about doing it. Hope we end up recording some of the laughter and conversation that will be in place.

Kitty,

Welcome to the 'oldies' club. : ) The older I get the more I love the songs of my childhood. Does that mean I'm into my second childhood stage? Hmmmmm.

Mucho love,

Just to let you know I was in Mississippi these past weeks visiting my brother and his church family in Greenville. Though we all are Texans (valley) by ancestry, he settled there and married. The local museum held many wonderful years of culture that have contributed to the area, and I also found the story of the great flood in 1927 of great interest. A mass exodus of the African American community moved north the following year deserting properties and life-ties to the land that had been since the days of slavery. The delta blues and it's contributions to music chronicle a movement of a people not unlike 20th century Isrealites.
Well........Brol Buddy I don't guess I will ever do that singing part. My singing is more of the frog variety. I did like the Patsy Cline/Willie Nelson song above. I like all the old songs. Thats cause I'm old I guess. Thanks for finding them for us.

Donna, thanks for sharing with me. It makes me glad to know that my writings have blessed others. And what a precious experience you had concerning the picture of Jesus holding the lamb. The proverb that says a picture is worth a thousand words certainly holds true.

Love you too my little sister in Christ,

I have been struggling with some things in my life because I just can't seem to work them out. When my eyes fell upon the picture of Jesus holding the lamb close to His heart, I broke. Then I read the scriptures and I was immediately reminded, again, that I have to drop everything I'm holding on to, so that I can climb up in His lap and get so close and quiet that I can hear His heart.

I thank God so many times for using you to bring me so close to Him.

I love you, Bro. Buddy.

Your sister in Christ,
