Hi Crystal,

Thank you for your encouraging words. I makes me very happy when folk let me know that the enjoy my journal.

As for stories about 'our Carver family,' I well remember your grandpa, Uncle Homer. I was in the Navy when he passed on. (27 Nov 1959)

You may know this, but your kinship with me goes two ways. We are kin through the Carvers and through your Knight-Martin side. Your grandfather married Beulah Knight. Her mother was a Martin, my grandfather's sister.

Actually three of Grandpa and Grandma Carver's children are linked through marriage to the Martin family; Aunt Cleola, Uncle Homer, and my mom.

Thanks again for writing Crystal. It does my heart good to hear from you. Give your mom and dad a hug for me.

Always in Christ,

Dear Buddy,

Thank you so much for sharing yourself on this blog. I try to read it everyday--and if I miss, well, I have to catch back up! I love the stories about our Carver family. This helps me to feel connected. As a younger generation, I feel I am still getting to know everyone. But you all really set the example of how Carvers are supposed to behave toward one another. Yes, I think the picking is in us. I know Nathan and I are both that way.

Thank you also for your words about the Lord. I'm Catholic, but I love to read your stories about the Lord. The Holy Spirit touches me often when I am reading these messages. Thank you for doing the Lord's work.

Love,
Your cousin, Crystal Veronie, daughter of Roy Carver, son of Homer Carver
