And I heard a voice, saying, ‘Write’…

Morning Journal,
No, I didn’t hear a voice from heaven telling me to write. The voice here is God? speaking to John. But after a bit I will share? how? God’s people can speak with a heavenly voice.?
Before I pick up with this morning, let me share a short recap on yesterday afternoon.
7 p.m.? Spent awhile working with my music. Then thought to write a certain? individual with? advice on a future faith decision.? Was I ever waxing with words of wisdom. (So I thought.) I had every angle covered.
Something seemed not right. Went to talk with Betty about my wanting to help this friend work out all their problems. (Problems that I had conjured up in my own mind.)
The moment Betty began to share, I recognized God’s wisdom from above. I had been moving into a fleshly area in my ’supposed’ godly counsel. Afterwards the Lord spoke to my heart, and said, “Flesh begets flesh.”
And this brings me to the ‘heavenly voice.’ I’ve often been intrigued with? something the Lord said through the? prophet Isaiah; “Your ears will hear a word behind? you, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right or to the left.” (Isaiah 30:21? nasb)
Just who are these heavenly voices that say to us, “This is the way, walk in it?” The voices can be the voices of any believer. Jesus said there would be times when the Father speaks through us, “For it is not you who speak, but it is the Spirit of your? Father who speaks in you.” (Matthew 10:20 nasb)
In my case I’ve discover over the years that while the Lord can and often does speak to me through other believers, the one who speaks the dearest and the clearest into my life is my wife.
Here is where I need to share about the godly marriage.? Why is it that in? a godly marriage, the wife? may seem to have the clearest voice from heaven? (By the way it works both ways.)?
The reason is because the godly marriage is? secured in? Jesus Christ. You have two believers bound in a spiritual covenant that is only available to true believers.? (Not speaking merely of our personal? walk with the Lord.)
God bore witness against Israel concerning how the men were treating their wives. He said, “The Lord has been a witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt treacherously, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant.” (Malachi 2:14 nasb.)
Did you know that Peter warned Christian men that their prayers would not be answered if they failed to treat their wives as ‘equal’ heirs of the grace of life? (Cf. 1 Peter 3:7)
This is a teaching in itself. If you would like to read more about this area go to:

Let’s pick up with this morning…
7:10 a.m. CJ is snoozing away as usual. What a picture of contentment. Reminds me of something David said; “It is vain for you to rise up early, to retire late, to eat the bread of painful labors; for He gives to His beloved even in his sleep.” (Psalm 127:2 nasb.)
For the sake of ‘writing space’ I’ll? bypass recording my devotional in Ezra this morning. Boy, I am ever enjoying my walk with the Lord through another book.
8:10 a.m. - Caught up on my email. (For now. It is an all day process.)
Checked out Drudge to catch some of the news. Saw a striking picture of our president with tears streaming down his cheeks. What a tender man.
It was during a Medal of Honor ceremony at the white house. The honoree gave his life saving others.
Thought to myself - How blind can America be? We are on our way to the final count-down of Jerusalem. Yet many in this nation seem to be in a blind stupor. What a pitiful people we are that we are unable to discern the signs of the time.
Point at hand — We are on the march down to Jerusalem. It doesn’t matter if it is five years from now. We are quickly approaching the end of history, as we know it.
The next thing on the scope is the book of Revelation. What will the world do when all the godly depart?
As a Christian nation, why do we remain such a fleshly people? Perhaps it is because we know little about sanctifying our hearts to the Lord. Our eyes continually look on evil. Seems we have lost the fire of God in our midst. (Shekinah presence.)
Isaiah speaks to this, “Sinners in Zion are terrified; trembling has seized he godless, ‘Who among us can live with the consuming fire? Who among us can live with continual burning?’
“He who walks righteously and speaks with sincerity, he who rejects unjust gain and shakes his hands so that they hold no bribe; he who stops his ears from hearing about bloodshed, and shuts his eyes from looking upon evil; he will dwell on the heights, his refuge will be the impregnable rock [Jesus Christ]; his bread will be given him, his water will be sure.” (Isaiah 33:14-36 nasb.)
11:45 a.m. Betty is out for her morning walk. Guess I need to stop my journal for now.
Hope my readers have picked up some inspiration. I may put out another study today. Have so much running through my heart.
Can we hear the heavenly voice?
The Lord bless you,
Buddy
