Miss Lori,

It has been the joy of my life to watch your marriage unfold under the care of Jesus. I don't think any to people could love one another more than you and Warren. You both are godly people. (Not just Warren.) : )

Thanks again for writing. And thanks for the wonderful meals.

The Lord bless you,

Brother Buddy,

Glad to hear you enjoyed the supper. You would be so proud of Warren, at first it was a shock to me but then I thought of who his role models are (you & Nathan)and thanked the Lord for this godly husband he has created for me. Several times during this past week he would annoint me and pray with me. I am so glad to hear that the chemo is shrinking the tumors and that you are getting some comfort. What a wonderful God we serve!!!

Much love to you and Sister Betty,
Lori

Love you too Jessica,

You have always been my very special singing girl. When you were just a little one, I love to hear you sing, 'God's Still Working on Me.'

You tell Jon to never call you 'woman' again, unless he is saying something like, 'Boy do I ever love that woman. She is the woman off women.' : )

(I've heard about Oma's wooden spoon. And she always seems to sweet and gentle?)

The Happy cat story was a thriller for me. I loved every bit of it up to the point that I saw those beautiful blue eyes fill with tears. Could never stand to see Betty cry.

Jess, thanks for writing. You always share precious thoughts.

Blessings,

[...the Lord has always provided for us regardless.]

I was just telling myself that this morning and had to go read in Phil 4. I dont know why I get so overwhelmed with finances. Afterall, God has given me no reason to stress but every reason to trust Him! I just wanted to say that this was that lil bit of extra encouragement for the day. *cheesy grin*

[It is going to be a joy to show how the Lord works in the midst of our giving.] Amen!

I always love hearing the Happy cat story! Thanks for sharing it. It never gets old and I crack up everytime.

[I don’t use the word ‘woman’ any more. Here, you want to count the knots on my head.]

Haha, Sis. Betty rocks! Come to think of it, Jon sometimes calls me woman. I think I'll have to knock him on the head the next time he says it. Or be like my Oma and bring out the wooden spoon. :) Either way, that should do some good. Well, I've got my dose for the day. You take care Bro. Buddy! Love you!

Not of this world,
Jessica

I love you, Buddy .... No need to respond to my response now that I know you are getting them. I just love reading your daily entries. What an incredible life you have had as I read these wonderful stories of your faith and fine family. They make me smile and I am so grateful that you and Betty would take the time out of your schedule to spend time with Ross and I. Having met you makes these so much richer. You keep getting better and stronger now. Thanks for the Happy the cat story. I am still smiling.

Son,

You children are the pride of my life. Each of you are special in your own way. But your calling has been very unique. I've known this since you were a child.

As for Christian Challenge, I have nothing but confidence in you. After all, you were the young man who went to Mexico and served in that country as a faith missionary. If anyone knows about the walk of faith, it is you.

Don't ever be concerned about the reins. They are fully in your hands. I have no desire to take them back. Anytime I have a bit of a pause, the Lord quickly gets me back on the right page.

Besides that, my ministry will never go forward if I insist on looking back. Greater days are ahead. We are a part of a great endtime sweep in the earth. I have much work to do. And I know that it can only be done under the supervision of the Spirit of the Lord.

Yes, I've always loved that picture of the young sailer with the Lord's hand on his shoulder. I've been the young sailer. You are now the young sailer.

Have no fear. The Lord is going to use you in what I can only call 'wonderful' ways. And it is because you walk with the man whose name is Wonderful.

Love you son,

Dad

Thanks for a wonderful blog again, dad! I love the Happy Cat story, especially when you say that after hearing the meow and seeing the real Happy come around the corner you realized the dead cat on the hood wasn't Happy! He sure wasn't!

On another note, thank you for confidence you are showing in me and for allowing me to truly take the reins of the ministry. I know it's only the grace of God that has you able to not reach out and grab the steering wheel out of my hands when you think I'm headed for the ditch! (Like I do with my 16-year-old driver-permit holding daughter!) And it's the same grace of God that will help me guide this wonderful ship called Christian Challenge. But hanging on the wall directly in front of me is the painting of the young sailer holding the helm of the ship and Jesus standing behind him with one hand on his shoulder and another hand pointing the way.

That painting says it all. You have trained me to hear the voice of the Shepherd. That is the highest thing you could have ever done, to teach me to know His voice. Thank you. For teaching me ... and for trusting me to hear His voice.

All my love,
Nathan
