Debbie,

Sorry for the delay in my response. Thought I had answered everyone. It really makes me happy to know that people find my writings worth laughing about. I love nothing more than making folk happy.

Thank you again for sharing your happiness. You always have such kind things to say.

Blessings,

Twyla,

It would be wonderful indeed if you were able to sit in on the special sessions with our 'harvesters.'

There isn't a limit involved. The reason is because it will not be a course perse that I'll be teaching. The sessions will be open forum. I want the disciples to speak into one anothers lives, and I'll be speaking into their lives.

These special sessions can be compared to the Jewish pattern of master disciple and his students. Recall when Jesus pulled His disciples aside at times just to speak into their lives and listen to their questions. That is the pattern I am looking for.

At this point it will be several months before I can get things going. Who knows? Maybe a young lady named Twyla will find herself in the midst of everything. :)

Love you sis. Betty sends her love.

Blessings,

Brother Buddy, Love reading your funny little stories. I laughed so hard about Sis. Betty getting on her knees saying "come out and fight like a man!" Also thought the aligator one was hilarious, especially mixed with your humor,"you pull him in." Was literally moved to tears when I read the touching notes you and Nathan exchanged, especially when you blessed him. Lost my dad at a young age. He is blessed to have a father like you. And the neat thing is that he knows it and loves you so. Blessings, Debbie

Thanks, Betty! I'll give that Ross and extra big hug for both os us, how's that?! He's so very huggable .... as are you two.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the good Lord saw to it that I was able to come on down for those teachings of yours? Who knows? How long will your "sessions' last? Is it even possible to put a time frame on something like that? Well, enough .... getting myself all riled up. Love you. Thanks for responding to a gal who forgot to go back and read the response. Is it available to recapture your entire blog and responses from Day one?

Twyla,

I don't think that I've missed anything you've written. Been responding to your replies. I love hearing from you.

Sis, the training that I'll be giving will be hands on. Sure wish you could be here for that. When I gather these folk together, we will have our prayer times, sharing times, round-table with them, and also sitting-at-my-feet times when I need them to be quiet.

I want to pour into their lives the experiences and understandings that I've gleaned from my years of ministry. I'll continue to critique with them so that they can grow properly in the work of harvesting.

There will also be times when I will take one, or some, or all of them out for some visual exeriences. Want them to see how to minister one-on-one with strangers and so forth.

Twy, I have been a pastor for many years, but one of my primary giftings has always been that of a fisherman. It is my deepest joy to have the Holy Spirit guide me in the work of harvesting. It is an 'art' to be learned by God's people.

Yall come on down to Louisiana real soon. I'm serious about having you taste some remarkable Cajun food.

Betty sends her love along with my love. Give Ross an extra big hug for us.

Blessings,

Buddy

I love these writings, Buddy. I am concerned that you do not get my responses. If you do, will you let me know, somehow? You sound great and your descriptions of Southern food make me want to jump on a plane and head right on down. The following that you wrote intrigues me:

The training I plan to give is not about pulpit ministry. It will be about harvesting souls for the kingdom of God by whatever means the Lord provides. I want to train these folk to be fishers of men.

Could someone this far away be involved? I can't seem to get your sermons on video, but I can get the likes of Charlie Rose Videos. I must be doing something wrong. I'll try again. Blessings and only the best to you and Betty.
Love, Twyla

Hi Baby Girl,

I love to see you laugh.

Actually the alligator story is true. We had set out hooks on Bulby Lake. Would take turns checking the lines. Course it was night. That's when we shined our light on an alligator. Their eyes are a glowing red under a light. We snuck up on him and I smaked him on the head a paddle. The alligator started thrashing. Well, you know the rest. :)

As for the 'Yea, yea, go to Africa', that isn't orginal with me. We preachers have been known to use it in ridiculing these 'so-called' prophets who don't know their head from a hole in the ground.

Love you sweet lady-daughter-of-mine.

Hey Daddy!

I love reading your blog every day. This cracked me up:

"Everyone was hollering, ‘Pull him in the boat!’ I had one word for them, ‘You pull him into the boat."

Reminds me of a joke you used to tell about the "prophet" prophesying over a man in the congregation, "Yea, yea, go to Africa." And the man responds, "Nea, Nea, go yourself!."

Thanks for the chuckle at the start of my day. I love you!

Hi Jeff,

It was also a treat to see you and Nan today. You both are such a blessing.

On missing me at CCI, that goes both ways. However I do have an advantage. While none of you can see me, Betty and I get to see all of you via the internet. It is not the same as being there, but our love never changes for the congregation.

Gary blesses us so much when he moves the camera around during greeting time. It as though we can reach out and touch those that we love so much. (Which takes in the whole congregation.)

Thanks for writing. I'm happy to know that you keep up with my blog.

Blessings,

Bro. Bud.

It was a special treat to get to see you today. Had to stay my distance, I've been feeling a little under the weather the last few days. I read daily on your blog, how well you are doing. Today I got to see it. You truly are looking and acting very well. I'm sure I speak for many at CCI in saying that we miss seeing you on a regular basis.
I'm glad you like what we are trying to accomplish with the stage area. Nathan and I have given it much thought, but it's a learning process. (Neither one of us is much of an interior decorator)Thank God I have my sweet wife to help me.
