My condolences on your loss! The unconditional love of those furry friends can be a wonderful reminder of the unconditional love our Saviour demonstrates, also, often just willing to be there with us when we need them [Him] most, simply waiting for us to remember that amazing love and grace that has already been poured out.
God’s blessings on you and your family,
    Gayle

    Gayle,

Thank you so much. I can see that you have the heart of a ‘furry friend’ lover. I have concern for people who have a dislike for dogs. Dogs are generally the most faithful animal companions that a person can have.

This morning I was a bit weepy over Snickers. Then the Lord reminded me that Snickers had his passage in the midst of family love and not in some cold veterinarian’s clinic. That warmed my heart.

Another thing the Lord reminded me had to do with my emotions. I wanted to get angry over what happened to Snickers. But I realized that we don’t live in the city limits and dogs can pretty much run free. Anyway, what the Lord said to me was, ‘The anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.’ Somewhere in all this there will be the testimony to the Lord’s righteousness.

Well — At some point the grandchilren will have opportunity to visit Snickers resting place. Perhaps grandpa will be able to share some ‘Jesus’ thoughts with them.

Thanks again Gayle. I truly appreciate what you said about unconditional love. I am a full-pledged member in the society of the ‘forever saved.’

    In Christ,

    Buddy
